UmuakaNews24 proudly celebrates Eze Francis Ahanotu, the Iyi of Amiyi, for his latest achievement in bringing street lighting to Amiyi.

We must acknowledge that NDDC projects do not simply happen without commitment from community leadership. In many cases, community leaders make significant financial and logistical commitments running into millions of naira before such projects are eventually approved and delivered.

It takes a leader who genuinely has the interest of his people at heart to go the extra mile and make such commitments for the development of his community.

We have seen similar examples in Umuaka. Ezenwanne of Obinnwane has demonstrated remarkable commitment to development in Obinnwane, including the use of personal resources to advance projects for his people.

Our love and appreciation for Eze Justin Ezeala also go beyond words because of his contributions to human-resource development, infrastructure and the overall advancement of Akaland.

Today, we are glad to see Eze Iyi following suit.

UmuakaNews24 must also acknowledge that Eze Iyi of Amiyi, Ezenwanne of Obinnwane and Eze Cesar Duruegbuso of Umuele Amazano, Umuaka stand out among the most visible and active royal fathers in Umuaka.

These three traditional rulers have consistently remained active on Umuaka platforms, engaging with their people, participating in discussions and, where necessary, helping to set the records straight.

Their activities demonstrate an important principle of leadership: a traditional ruler should remain connected to his people.

They have shown that leadership is not only about occupying a royal stool, but also about contributing to conversations that shape the community, sharing life experiences, encouraging positive moral conduct and supporting efforts that guide the younger generation.

Their active participation in the Umuaka People’s Assembly and other community platforms is particularly commendable. They contribute to discussions about the future and development of Umuaka without allowing status, wealth or position to create unnecessary distance between them and the younger people.

As we celebrate Eze Francis Ahanotu, the Iyi of Amiyi, today, we sincerely appreciate his commitment to the development of his people.

We also commend Ezenwanne of Obinnwane for his continued active participation and Eze Cesar Duruegbuso of Umuele Amazano, Umuaka for his valuable contributions to community affairs.

We encourage other royal fathers to become more visible, more engaged and more connected with their people.
