Hon. Obinna Orgazi, popularly known as Brainbox and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Njaba State Constituency, has pledged to facilitate urgent intervention on the Ime-Afo–Uba Road, assuring residents that efforts are underway to make the road motorable within the next week.

Orgazi made the commitment after receiving the Chairman of the Umuezikeoha Youths, members of his executive, and other concerned sons of Umuezikeoha at VerseOne.

According to him, the delegation appealed for his intervention over the worsening condition of the road, where deep potholes have become dangerous traps for motorists, commercial operators and pedestrians.

The visit, he noted, followed an earlier meeting with the leadership of the Uba Road Traders Association, which had also raised concerns about the deteriorating state of the same road and called for urgent action.

While expressing appreciation for the confidence reposed in him, Orgazi said the repeated appeals from different groups reflect a growing loss of public confidence in government.

«“These appeals also highlight a painful reality: our people are gradually losing faith in government after being failed repeatedly,” he stated.»

The NDC candidate revealed that he had already made enquiries on the practical steps required to restore the affected stretch to a motorable condition, adding that his team is working towards delivering an intervention within one week.

As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, Orgazi urged Njaba residents to become critical consumers of information and remain focused on leadership that delivers measurable results.

He maintained that Njaba must no longer remain an afterthought in Imo State, stressing that public resources should serve the collective interest rather than benefit only a privileged few.

«“We must ensure that our collective resources are used for the public good—not the interests of a privileged few,” he said.»

He concluded his message with his familiar campaign refrain:

«“Joy is coming. Brainbox is coming. Good things must make way for better things.”»

The condition of the Ime-Afo–Uba Road has remained a major concern for residents and traders, who say the deteriorating road continues to affect transportation, businesses and daily movement within the area.
