The 2026 edition of the Miss Imo State Beauty Pageant concluded Sunday night 12th April 2026 with notable wins for both Njaba and Aboh Mbaise Local Government Areas, as Anita from Ugbele, Umuaka, representing Njaba LGA was crowned Miss Imo International after finishing as first runner-up, while Miss Aboh of Mbaise LGA emerged overall winner and was crowned Miss Imo State 2026.

As Miss Imo State, Miss Aboh will serve as a cultural ambassador for the state and will represent Imo at the upcoming Miss Nigeria national pageant. The title of Miss Imo International positions Anita as an ambassador for tourism, culture and diaspora engagement on behalf of the state.

Anita’s path to the top two was significantly aided by grassroots support from umuaka community.

Hon. Obinna Orgazi spearheaded a fundraising and voter mobilization campaign that organizers credit with increasing her vote count during the public voting phase of the competition. The initiative drew broad participation from Umuaka indigenes at home and in the diaspora.

“Anita carried herself with grace, intelligence and dignity throughout the pageant,”
a member of the Njaba LGA delegation said. “Her success reflects the spirit of Umuaka and the power of community unity.”

The results have been met with celebration across Ugbele and the wider Umuaka community. Local leaders have described the outcome as a milestone for Njaba LGA’s representation in state cultural affairs.

Umuaka News24 congratulates Anita, Miss Imo International on her outstanding achievement and acknowledges Hon. Obinna Orgazi for his leadership and civic engagement. We also extend congratulations to Miss Aboh of Mbaise LGA and wish her success as she advances to represent Imo State nationally.

The Miss Imo State pageant remains one of the state’s premier platforms for youth empowerment, tourism promotion and cultural diplomacy.
