Speaking to Umuaka News24 via WhatsApp chat, Elder Dominic Okoro, on behalf of the Umuaka Elders Council Forum, commended the leadership of the Akah Ebeiri Sports Council, led by Comrade Mboyi Chimezie, and the Akah Ebeiri Youth President, Engr Onyi Nnogwarim, for their proactive efforts in recent months.
He noted that Umuaka is once again lively and showing signs of recovery thanks to leaders like them.
Football matches are ongoing, and the youth leader has been actively organising youths to clean the community, monitor wrong activities, and correct them, fostering order and development.
Elder Okoro also expressed appreciation to Hon. Obinna Ogazi for investing in Umuaka through his “Verse One” Restaurant and Bar, which has become a hub where Akalites gather for entertainment every evening.
He called on more community members especially those in diaspora to establish similar spaces, invest home to further revive the city after years of gunfire and insecurity.
The elder also praised Umuaka News24 for its dedication to keeping residents informed, describing the platform as “currently unmatched” in community reporting.
He prayed for continued peace, unity, and development in Akah, while also commending the Honourable member, Chief Ozioma Worship for his works and efforts, he urged him to liaise with the state government to repair the Umuaka–Ukwuoji Road before the rainy season reaches its peak.
