The much-anticipated Umuaka Peoples Cup 2026 is set to make its debut this Easter season, as communities across Umuaka prepare for an exciting knockout-style football competition.
Organized under the leadership of the Comrade Bright Mboyi Chimezie and AKAH Ebeiri Sports Council, this first edition promises high-energy clashes and strong community engagement, bringing together teams from different villages in a celebration of unity, talent, and sportsmanship.
Quarter Finals Knockout Fixtures:
MATCH DAY1: 28 March 2026: Isiozi vs Uba
MATCH DAY2: 29th March 2026: Obeakpu vs Ibele
MATCH DAY3: 30th March 2026: Achara vs Amiyi
MATCH DAY4: 03 April 2026: Amakor vs Obinnware
We understand that Winners from these fixtures will advance to the semi-final stage, scheduled for 4th and 6th April, followed by further decisive matches on 10th and 11th April, leading up to the grand finale on 12th April 2026, subject to Sports council clarification.
The tournament is expected to draw large crowds, with football lovers eager to witness grassroots talent and intense rivalries unfold on the pitch.
