The Catholic Diocese of Orlu has announced the dedication of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish, Obeakpu, in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.

The dedication ceremony will hold on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., at the parish premises, and will be officiated by His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Augustine Tochukwu Ukwuoma, Catholic Bishop of Orlu.

The event marks a major spiritual milestone for the parish, reflecting years of faith, sacrifice, and communal effort. It will be hosted by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Uju Remy Uzoma (Omenkeahurunanya), alongside the Parish Pastoral Council and the parish community.

HRM Eze Lazarus Nwaozor (Omasirimba I of Obeakpu) will serve as the Royal Father of the Day. The Parish Pastoral Council Chairman, Mr. Christopher Opara, and the Dedication Committee Chairman, Chief Nicholas Opara (Omereona), are coordinating the event.

The ceremony is expected to attract clergy, traditional rulers, and Catholic faithful from within and outside Njaba LGA.
