It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Chinecherem Unachukwu, the young boy from Ugbele who had been battling kidney failure and was in urgent need of a transplant. Chinecherem passed away in the early hours of today in Abuja, leaving the Umuaka community in shock and mourning.

Adding to the tragedy, Okwuluora Ndi Igbo, the renowned philanthropist and activist, was one of the key figures who championed Chinecherem’s cause. Known for his dedication to helping the oppressed and needy, Okwuluora personally traveled to Umuaka to raise funds for Chinecherem’s kidney transplant. His efforts, however, were hindered by unforeseen challenges, including his own alleged kidnapping during the fundraising mission. Thankfully, he claimed that he was released unharmed due to the respect and goodwill he commands in the region

The news of his passing comes after widespread appeals for assistance to save his life, with many rallying around the family in prayers and support. Despite the efforts made, Chinecherem’s fight has come to a tragic end.
