Tension is rising in Amiyi Akah community as residents have openly accused the President General (PG) and the Eze of alleged corruption and manipulation against the people.
In a public notice pasted all over Amiyi and sighted by Umuaka News24, residents warned that the scheduled Amiyi August Meeting should not hold, insisting that the PG must step down or resign immediately.
One of the major issues raised in the notice points to alleged manipulations and secrecy surrounding the Umuaka Community Hospital by both the Eze and the PG.
The notice further cautioned that anyone who attempts to host the meeting will “bear the consequence.” It also stated that the Eze will not be hosting any meetings in his compound, urging the public to avoid gatherings at the town hall, primary school, and the Eze’s residence.
