A tragic incident occurred on Saturday, July 12 previously reported by umuaka News24, when a newborn baby was abandoned and left to die on ime afọr -Amiyi road umuaka near the Nne Enyemaka Shrine.
The assistant parish priest, Fr. Charles Ike prayed for the child and buried her at the same spot after no one claimed the body.
In response, Nne Enyemaka Catholic Parish is making a heartfelt appeal to the public. If you’re facing an unplanned pregnancy and feel unable to care for the child, the parish offers adoption services. Fr. Charles Ike urges those in need to reach out, saying, “Please do not murder your baby. Bring them to us.”
