I strongly believe that the police “Ransackment” of Umuaka at WILL and unnecessary arrests of our youths with porous invasion of JTF without considerations has been hindering Umuaka development in the last two years.

Everything has been put on stand still.

Umuaka is more sweeter than Owerri in terms of holidaying.

Umuaka currently has greater untapped business opportunities than Owerri.

They have the population and the money.

They have the unoccupied lands to develop different lines of businesses.

What we need now is ,

A Tertiary institution

Strong telecommunication network.

One or two more banks

Security assurance. (We need to set up a strong security outfit)

Good Road networks.

Good general hospitals and more private hospitals.

Then you will see Umuaka bubble into a city of choice both for investment and habitations.

Let Uba man buy lands in Amiyi and build his choice house if Uba don’t have lands again to his budget, let Achara man buy land in Ugbele and build his choice house if Achara don’t have lands to his budget again.

Let Isiozi man buy land and build in Obeakpu if Isiozi does not have lands on his budget again.

Let us be a bit flexible in expansion as long as you can easily access your main family compound within 20mins travel time and still attend umunna meeting in your village.

Umuaka needs to map out certain areas that can be developed for Building hostels and rentable apartments to avoid strangers living together with us in certain areas of our community. If we can choose ozara Umuele, ozara Amakor, Obeakpu, Ugbele or Isiozi as such areas , We can then invite interested developers to buy lands those areas at an affordable rates and develop estates and apartments for rentals because I believe we already have enough hotels right now.

Let Umuaka set up Umuaka City development Authority to checkmate the excessive price tags on the lands in umuaka, reduce and cap them to foster development otherwise we shall not see the development we so desire being that some people will buy many lands and cease the development of such area due to Shylock mentality that will put the lands beyond reach for an interested person to buy for development.

The High price of land needs to be capped and controlled. If controlled you will witness the biggest development never seen in the history of Umuaka in the next coming years with proper companies coming up that will ensure great employment for our people.

The Board should also oversee the road networks, road naming, street naming in partnership with the local government support, Also ensure that the new houses being built in umuaka comply with safety and general community guidelines to avoid floods , erosions, collapses and etc in the nearest future.

They should implement the recent resolution to name the roads after our Heroes as much as registering the map of Umuaka in the navigation system to welcome the services of e-hailing transportation like Uber, bolt, indrive etc in umuaka.

Umuaka is a beautiful strategic location, Central connection to okigwe, Orlu, Owerri and Uguta lake.

Let us think Deep and in the next 10yrs we shall witness one of the best cities in Nigeria.

Umuaka must be better.
