A strongly-worded statement has been issued by Barr. Victor Dito Ogbonna Esq. regarding the alleged annexation of the Umuakah Community Hospital by the Amiyi Akah people and their Eze.

According to Barr. Ogbonna, if the annexation is true, the community should confiscate all assets of Amiyi Akah people located within Umuakah, particularly in Afor Umuakah. He cites the ignored appeals to Ohaneze Amiyi Akah for the return of the hospital to its original status as the reason for this stance.

“If it’s true that till date Amiyi Akah people and their Eze, have annexed Umuakah Community, the rest of us who disapprove of their action should forthwith confiscate all assets of Amiyi Akah people located within our own common especially in Afor Umuakah. I’m forced to make recommend this line of reaction on the premise that for too long all many of appeals have been made to Ohaneze Amiyi Akah for the return of the hospital to the status quo ante bellum but these entreaties have been largely ignored by our Amiyi Akah community and their leaders, their Eze inclusive.

Again, we may have to impose all manner of sanctions against Amiyi Akah including marriage, participation in sports, patronizing Amiyi Akah goods and services etc until they’re do the needful. We shouldn’t worry that we have enormous investments within Amiyi Akah territory for the time being. The Ehewe treatment will be our last joker if Amiyi Akah community persists in daring the rest of us to do our worst over their illegal seizure and or annexation of our Umuakah Community Hospital. We’re in era of Ohakarasi. I’m certain all the wise people in Amiyi Akah will rise like Eddy Ahumaraeze to categorically and unequivocally break their silence and distance from the brazen immoral, illegal and unjustified act of Amiyi Akah people before it’s so late to do so.”
