A SINCERE APOLOGY
We write to express our unreserved apology on the severe punishment given to our student Ozioma, which eventually landed her in the hospital.
It was indeed an unfortunate situation. None of her offences, either of insulting a teacher, violating the school rule or examination malpractice justifies such punishment.
We are indeed sorry. The school management has addressed the issue and equally given proper sanctions.
Meanwhile, Ozioma is fast recuperating. The school has equally taken full responsibility for her hospital bill and will continue to maintain a cordial relationship with her family.
We remain committed to serving the people of Umuaka and beyond in the holistic formation of young people. By the very special grace of God, such an incident will not be experienced in our school again. Henceforth, better corrective measures will be adopted in the regulation of discipline.
