Congratulations 🎊 HRH Eze HIA Ojinnaka.
I would have said Congratulations HRH Eze HIA Ojinnaka on your recognition and issuance of staff of office as Eze Sinobi 1V ancient kingdom Umuaka but its not too proper to state so.

My reason is that from time immemorial and history as told, the throne of Ojinnaka is older than the Imo State government.

The staff of the office of Ojinnaka was issued by the British government/monarch so why the new issuance of staff of office and recognition,what happened to the old staff?.

The throne is hereditary and has never been in contention.
I vehemently believe that it’s the traditional rulers of the new autonomous communities that are supposed to be subjected to this kind of recognition not Kings of ancient kingdoms.
Assuming without conceding that King HIA Ojinnaka did not submit himself to the recognition of the Imo State, would anyone have not respected him as traditional ruler of Umuaka or would anyone have contested the throne with him.

I respect and recognize the Imo State traditional rulers law but this recognition and issuance of staff of office by governors is one of the reasons our traditional rulers are like servants in the hands of some arrogant governors.

Those days when men were men and before Ezeship was bastardized , governors don’t dish orders to Kings, they solicit words of wisdom from them.
Paying traditional rulers salaries is the height of demolition of their honour.

Salary is defined as a fixed sum paid to an employee regardless of the hours worked, or the amount of work done.
Salaries are often paid monthly or annually as in the case of our traditional rulers.

When someone pays you Salary, you are an employee of that person and he is your employer.What exists between both of you is Master and Servant relationship.

Technically,our traditional rulers of this new generation are employees of our state governments by virtue of the above adumberation without prejudice hence their communities challenges suffer.
