A tragic and shocking incident has occurred in Ugbele Okwu, Akah, as unknown gunmen, suspected to be cultists, invaded the funeral ceremony of Mrs. Eunice Mgbengasha Okoro, leaving a trail of death and destruction.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen opened fire sporadically, killing three people, including two of the deceased’s grandchildren, and injuring many others.
The funeral ceremony was abruptly abandoned, with the corpse left outside and mourners, including clergymen, fleeing for safety.
The family is currently seeking a pastor to conclude the remaining funeral rites.
