A young promising guy from umuezela Umuele known for handyman services has allegedly passed away from excessive consumption of ‘gwawuru gwawuru’.
The boy , Onyekachi Duru, the second son of his family lost his life regrettably during the night when no one could help him out in his room due to the mum, a retired teacher, suffering from strokes.
His remains were brought out of his room yesterday evening already decomposing.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Umuaka News24 on the condition of anonymity, the deceased had consumed a large quantity of alcohol from multiple brands Unfortunately, he got so drunk that he could not wake up. He was also buried immediately.
The incident occurred late on Sunday 9th March 2025 in Umuele, Umuezeala, and the Whole area is still reeling from the news.
The family is in mourning, and friends and well-wishers of the deceased are still trying to come to terms with the loss.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption.
