Nigerian Security Forces Take Over Njaba River Area in Umuaka,ending Sacrifices to the river gods.

In a new development, Nigerian security forces have taken control of the Njaba River area in Umuaka, putting an end to sacrifices made to gods at the river bridge.

According to the report available to Umuaka News24 , the forces are currently evacuating all sacrificial items littered around the river today 5th of march 2025 and have vowed to monitor the area with day and night surveillance.

Henceforth, Anyone caught performing sacrifices in the area will be arrested and prosecuted as Imo State government has joined Anambra State to eradicate fetishism and save the youth from destruction.

This move is seen as a major step towards promoting public safety and security in the Umuaka.

Though the gods may go hungry and may starve to death, even as many of the gods are parked away to be burnt, others may relocate to another state.

It’s worth noting that the Njaba River axis has been a hotspot for criminal activities, with reports of armed robberies and other incidents and also mysterious accidents.
