Following the on-going discussions about Afor Umuaka and foundation of its previous structure and allocations.

The exact year the market was constructed has been established to be 1972 by one of the Archived Documents of Chief Augustine Amaechi of Obeakpu, a renowned popular educationalist, teacher, erudite academic and a respected scholar, who saw the need to preserve records at a time many people didn’t see the necessity.

It was also from the records of late Chief Augustine Amaechi that documents showing the contributions of every community to build Umuaka Community Hospital that is presently subject to dispute was discovered.

Until one of his children released the now very valuable contribution record in Umuaka Peoples Assembly platform, no individual had provided any documents in that regard..
